Wow....where did December go?! It seems like a blur to me now!! Little Joshua is growing like a weed and we're learning more about him each day. He's a little over 7 weeks old now. He's able to hold his head on his own now (still a few wobbles), smile (at people now....not just farts!), follow people across the room and recognize voices (especially mine, or as I now have given myself the nickname: 'Lunch'). He's a happy baby!! We've learned his cries. The boy can not stand a wet diaper!! He could sit in poop all day, but once he pees, everyone knows!!! At our last Dr appt (on 12/26), Joshua weighed 9 lbs 8 ozs. I'm sure he's well over 10 lbs by now. He was 23 inches long then too....he's so long!! He's grown out of several of his newborn outfits, mainly the sleepers....he's too long for the footies!!!
The past two months have been full of family visits! Joshua has met both sets of Grandparents, his Great-Grandmother, his Aunt Jennifer and Nick and several of our closest friends. Everyone loves him!! What's not to love!!
Christmas was....just Christmas. Nothing too exciting this year for Joshua!! We can't wait for next year when he's older and more aware of whats going on. He did receive many wonderful gifts from friends and family and I do not think Joshua will run out of clothes to wear. He will be one styling little boy!!
I've been doing well. I've had several, painful issues with breastfeeding and I am toying with the idea of giving it up completely. Its a tough decision. Of course, we want whats best for Joshua so we're torn. Whatever the outcome, our little boy will not starve! Kudos to all the moms that have successfully breastfed. I can proudly say that I am back at my pre-pregnancy weight so thats a major one-up for me! woohoo! I'm glad that 40 lbs didn't hang around long!
I go back to work next month and I'm already feeling sad about it. I so wish I could be a stay at home mom. I know once I'm at work and back in the swing of things, hopefully I'll be too busy to fixate on missing Joshua all day long. I plan to enjoy my last month at home with him to the fullest!!
I promise to start posting my entries, more often. He's growing up so fast!!

I'm so happy to see an update. I've been checking almost daily. He's getting sooo big! I can't believe it! He's adorable.
As a mom who had to formula feed and desperately wanted to breastfeed, I understand the inner guilt. Do what is best for Joshua AND yourself.
