November:
- Jeff and I went to California for his sister's wedding. Joshua stayed home with Granny and Papa. We knew the trip would be too much for him and honestly I think we made the right decision. It was a fast paced, fun-filled weekend. We also enjoyed the adult time and staying up late! We missed him though and I'm sure I called every couple of hours to check in on him.
- For Thanksgiving, my parents and my sister and kids came to visit. Joshua loved playing with his cousins. We attempted to do the annual Santa picture with all three of the grandkids. Last year's was better!! haha! I think Joshua was somewhat scared of Santa this year but by December, you would've thought Santa was his best friend. Santa this....Santa that! My mom, sister, niece and I braved the Black Friday sales, while all the men stayed home also.
- We celebrated Joshua's birthday!! Can't believe he's TWO!! And we embarked on the wonderful adventure of potty-training. Oh my....what fun that has been! At least we all have a sense of humor about it and make it fun!
December:
- We spent Christmas in Texas. Joshua took his first plane trip! He was wonderful!! I think he associated the tray tables with snack time as he seemed to eat the entire two hour flight! (Hey, whatever kept him occupied and in his seat worked for me!!) Joshua loved spending time with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Nick....and especially Harley Puppy (their Chihuahua). Joshua also enjoyed sleeping in a big boy bed! They had a toddler bed, which Joshua adjusted to wonderfully. We still have him in the crib. (I'm almost embarrassed to admit that!!) So, I think one day soon....we'll be converting his crib to toddler bed. I'm trying to hang on to the 'baby' in him as long as possible!!
January:
- Honestly, January was a blur! We did take Joshua to the restaurant where we had out first date, Seven Bridges.
And here we are in February! I'm posting a couple of pictures and videos of Joshua. The video is of him saying his ABCs into the microphone of one of his toys. Its so cute! The other video is of Joshua 'riding' his bike. We haven't mastered the pedals yet!!
Gosh...he is growing up fast!!
