We went back to the Dr yesterday and my Dr took me out of work and advised me to be on bed rest until baby Joshua gets here next week. My BP is still fine but the swelling in my ankles and legs is out of control. Sitting all day at work wasn't helping at all! So, now I will either be laying in bed or on the couch with my feet propped up. Jeff has allowed me to have 30 minutes a day of computer time! haha (So, I'm making this quick!) Its amazing how much of a difference I can already tell in the swelling today with having my feet up all day compared to normal days. Besides the swelling, I'm still feeling okay. Two days ago I had a lot of lower abdominal cramping, which I later read up on to be quite normal for this late in the game. Its part of 'Stage 1' of labor...and my Dr agreed. Its just my body getting ready for the grand finale. I still haven't felt any contractions or at least I don't think I have. I am enjoying the down time....its allowing me to feel him move and kick more often. When I'm at work, I'm always so busy moving around and working to notice. Being this close to 40 weeks, the movement does slow down quite a lot since hes out of room, so its nice to be able to pay attention and have nothing else to concentrate on besides him. Jeff thinks I'll go insane being on bed rest....today (Day 1) hasn't been bad at all. I had him Tivo a lot of 'The Baby Story' and 'Bringing Home Baby' off TLC so I could watch them....a little preparation TV won't hurt! Bailey, or Dr. Bailey as I call him now, has been by my side ALL day as well. I think hes enjoying having me home!
I hated to leave work because I know I have so many unfinished projects....but taking care of myself and Joshua is my number one priority....so home it is!
The induction is still planned for next Thursday, 11/20. We have to be at the hospital at 7AM. Of course, he could always come before Thursday as well. Who knows?!

Enjoy your chance to rest while you can! I know you're excited about next Thursday. You're in my prayers!
You should try to post something everyday until he is here. Everyday I don't see an update, I wonder if you are in the hospital! You are so close!!!! I can't wait to see pictures of little Joshua! Enjoy the bedrest - life is about to change :)
