39 weeks 1 day
I'm hoping I've made some progress this week so that the induction doesn't take as long on Thursday. We'll see! I've had a few aches and pains, which I'm hoping are all labor pains. I'm sleeping horrible....its a mixture of being anxious and uncomfortable. Its taking me forever to fall asleep when a few weeks ago, I'd fall asleep as soon as I hit the bed. That may have something to do with me sleeping in everyday as well. I'm at that 'I'm bored' stage during the day now. There's just so much TLC's Baby Story I can handle!! The Soaps I used to watch aren't as entertaining either!! Luckily, my friend Angela stopped by yesterday to keep me company for a bit! Yay! Well, soon....I'll have PLENTY to keep me busy!!
I think I will miss being pregnant! Seriously, I haven't really hated being pregnant at all and I don't think I've been one of those 24/7 complainers. (Maybe we should ask Jeff about that though!). I've enjoyed it! As much as I do complain about my stomach being huge and turning over in my sleep (or creating mini-earthquakes in the bed!), I will miss having him in my stomach. It is a feeling that you really can't explain or relate to until you've experienced it for yourself.
I still feel like I have a lot to do before his arrival...but its all stuff that really can wait until hes here. Incase you haven't heard, his dresser and chest of drawers are still not here. They should be arriving sometime this week....as will Joshua! haha But, I can organize everything after hes here and when he's sleeping. He'll never know his room wasn't completely ready! He'll be staying in our room the first several weeks anyways. Everything is washed though and we're all packed and ready to go for Thursday morning. Who knows....he could come earlier?! At this point, I seriously doubt it. I'm glad he'll be here before Thanksgiving!! We have a cute 'My First Thanksgiving' outfit that we'll be sure to take tons of pictures of him in.
Stay tuned!! Thursday is the BIG day!!

It's almost time! Mama and I were "nesting" for you today since you can't do it. She said she got up energized to clean. I've been cleaning the mountains of papers piling up on my desk at school. Maybe this is a sign you'll go on your own! :)) I have one more small pile to tackle.
Uhhh, let me be the first to tell you since maybe your doctor hasn't: when you are induced it can take up to 12 hours before anything starts. But I'm sure that that won't be the case for you. You will be thankful for those birthing classes though. Looking forward to see Baby Joshua! Take care!
I'm so excited for you. That top you're wearing in the picture is gorgeous on you.
Grandpa Butch and Grandma Chris are anxiously awaiting in Texas the news of Joshua's arrival. He is very lucky to have you two as parents. Best Wishes for a speedy delivery; The tears of JOY afterwards are undescribable!
We love you very much.
Good luck Christy!! Here's to a healthy quick labor. I can't wait to see pictures!
