Happy Valentine's Day from Joshua!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

Take a look at the cute pictures we sent the grandparents and aunts of little Joshua. They just melt my heart looking at them!

Tomorrow we go to Joshua's daycare to get his crib and area set up. He gets to go with us so I'm happy he gets to scope out the place with both of us before Monday. So, this week I've been filling out all of his paperwork and labeling everything from crib sheets to individual diapers. Surprisingly, labeling 100 diapers with his initials didn't take too long!! So, Monday when Jeff takes him....Jeff will just need to take Joshua and his daily formula bottles per-mixed for the fridge. I know I will have one sad drive downtown on Monday!

Joshua is only on formula now. I did finally stop breastfeeding and pumping two weeks ago. It was the best decision for myself and Joshua. These past two weeks without expressing milk have been a much needed break on my body. Joshua has adjusted to the formula well also. I actually think it sits better on his stomach than breast milk anyways. I do have a week or so supply stocked in our freezer for emergency use or if he gets sick. My antibodies may do some good later on. I read a article in a 'Parents' magazine the other day that really hit home. The author said that she had to stop measuring her worth as a woman in ounces of pumped breast milk. I can easily relate. I am much happier with Joshua on formula, but I am glad that I did at least try to breastfeed.

This week Joshua has continued to grow and get stronger. One night Jeff was changing him for bed and complained about how the outfit I gave him was too small for him to wear. I replied that that was odd since he just wore it the night before. That outfit is now in his too small pile! Seriously, he's growing like a weed!! He's all smiles too!! I'm still waiting on him to laugh out loud. He does it often while sleeping, but never while awake. I was hoping that he would reach that milestone before he starts daycare. I want to hear that first laugh!!

He's grabbing objects very well now too.....especially his Winnie the Pooh snuggy from his Aunt Jennifer. And everything goes straight to the mouth now!!

More cute pictures to come soon!

I hope things went alright today at daycare. Good luck on Monday. It's harder on us than it is on the boys.
