Home Again...

We just got back from our week long vacation to Ohio to visit Jeff's family. We spent one night in Lorain, OH with his grandmother and visited two of Jeff's family's favorite restaurants: Marcelita's Mexican and Hot Dog Heaven. Our vacations seem to revolve around food by the way. We always somehow work certain restaurants into our vacations! We didn't take many pictures on this vacation so I'm sad to report that this blog won't have any pictures!! We have a few that I'll upload later once we get them downloaded.

Then we were off to Sandusky, OH to Cedarpoint. If you don't know, Cedarpoint is the roller coaster capital of the World. Unfortunately, I don't have any roller coaster reports for you....I'll leave that post for Jeff!! But, the train, sky ride and steamboat are wonderful rides for pregnant women!! Jeff was happy to introduce me to 'Cheese on a Stick' and I found a taffy and fudge store to make me happy. I got lots of walking in, which I'm sure is good for me and the baby. I do think that the walking somehow stretched him out though...I feel like my belly is rapidly expanding....and no, I didn't eat that many Cheese on a Sticks. haha I did amaze myself and was able to keep up with Jeff more that I expected!! SPF 50 and gallons of water a day helped!! We also went to Soak City Water Park where for the first time in my life, I didn't wear SPF 4 Dark Tanning Lotion or work on my tan. I instead opted for a umbrella covered lounge chair! I learned my lesson with tanning while pregnant a few months ago!! Sunburns and heat exhaustion are no fun!!

We did have a few milestones while on vacation:
- Jeff finally felt the baby move!!
- I finally saw the baby move!! I was laying by the pool and noticed he was extremely active and I happened to look down and could see my belly moving! That was awesome!! Jeff has yet to see for himself but I did catch him staring at my belly waiting for him to do it again while at the pool.
- Jeff's grandmother gave us a handmade baby blanket that we can't wait to use!
- We gave Jeff's mom a pattern for a christening outfit to make out of my wedding dress. We will be space bagging and mailing the dress to her in a few weeks. We're excited!

I was supposed to go back to work today, but I decided to take an extra day to recuperate. I slept until 10:00 today, thats the latest I slept all week while on vacation! I'm doing our endless mounds of laundry today and hanging out with Bailey, who is home from the puppy spa.

We also realized that this was the last family vacation we'll make with just the two of us. The next family vacation we take will include the new baby! Probably the last vacation we'll make with two small suitcases also! We do want to get up to Cedarpoint again....when I'm not pregnant and when the baby is old enough to ride most rides!

By the way, this Friday will be my 6 month mark! I can't believe it's been 6 months already!! Time is flying by and I wish it would slow down some because we have a lot of baby preparation to do!!
