To-do...

Time is running out and I feel like I have a million things to do. And its the weekend, but I can't think of where to start or what to do first. My main to-do is get Joshua's room ready but that's kind of hard to do without the furniture. I'm praying it gets here this week and I plan to spend next weekend washing and sorting his clothes. Also, once we get the furniture we can finish decorating the room....as in hanging up pictures and his letters for his name. I'm tired of 'moving the sand piles' as Jeff puts it so I'll wait until the furniture gets here before I wash the clothes to move them again.

I need to pack my hospital bag too. I started on it last week but didn't get too far. Living only a few minutes from the hospital is an advantage. I can always send Jeff home to get something I forgot. Plus, I doubt I'll need my whole beauty product line for the hospital trip.

On to other things, I had my 35 week appointment this week. Everything is right on track. My midwife estimated hes about 5 lbs now and estimated he'll be around 8 lbs at birth. We'll see!! I am going to the doctor weekly now until he gets here. She was a little concerned about my swelling in my hands and ankles. I now have cankles! Cankles that appear everyday now! I'm retaining a lot of fluid which isn't out of the norm for this late in the pregnancy. She said drink more water! I figured I already drink about 70 ozs a day so by increasing it even more, I should be floating away any ole time now! My blood pressure is fine so that's a good sign!! She said if my swelling gets worse or continues, she may take me out of work early for bed rest. I don't think I'd know how to handle 'bed rest' so hopefully, the swelling will go away soon. I feel fine though....just getting into the miserable last month of pregnancy! I 'think' I have felt a few Braxton Hicks contractions. They didn't hurt at all....just a very, very tight feeling in my belly for about a minute. His head is engaged and sometimes when standing up or walking, I can really start to feel him. We're getting anxious for his arrival!

This week at our Parenting Class, we noticed that two couples weren't there. I guess they had their babies!! Soon, that will be us!
