Updates...

Happy Halloween!!

I know that I have been very slack with updates lately. Not much has happened, but then again....we found out that a lot may be happening soon. I'll give the updates on our last two appts.

36 Week Appt - I found out I was GBS positive, which isn't really anything to worry about. It just means I'll get antibiotics during delivery to protect the baby. Its more of a precaution. Everything is right on track...no weight gain. Swelling continues....

37 Week Appt (Today actually) - Found out that Joshua may be on the 'large' side. She guesstimated that hes about 7 lbs now. Gasp! Granted, her guesstimation is just from feeling my stomach....but she has been doing this for 20+ years, so she may know what shes talking about. I'm scheduled for an ultrasound at my next appointment and depending on his size measurements from the ultrasound, we may be scheduling an induction soon after. At first, she wanted to get me in for an ultrasound today, but they were pretty booked up and since she doesn't like to do inductions before 38 weeks, we decided to wait until next Friday (when I will be exactly 38 weeks!). Personally, I think an induction would be more my speed. I like to PLAN things out....so at least that will ease my anxiety of stressing over when hes coming!! Granted, he could come this weekend, next week.....before my next appointment. I seriously doubt that though since I'm only about a fingertip dilated. So, tentatively mark your calenders for a possible birth sometime the week of November 10-14. Or the ultrasound could prove that hes at a normal size and I'm back to waiting it out! Either way....I'll be happy when hes here!! I just hope he fits into his 0-3 month clothes!!! I'm glad I didn't get too many newborn outfits!! Honestly, I'm surprised that she thinks hes so big now....but then again, all the weight that I have gained is all in the belly. I haven't gained any weight in the past couple of weeks either...so I guess hes gaining it all instead. 8+ lbs just sounds painful to me!!

This weekend is the first weekend since I've lived here that I'm not doing anything GA/FL related! Jeff passed up a ticket to the game tomorrow...even after I told him he should go and that I'll be fine home alone. (I don't think he wanted to deal with the traffic downtown anyways!) So, Go Dawgs! I'm sure we'll be watching the game tomorrow and saving money by not going to the game or out to party for it.

No Halloween costume for me this year!! I'm going as a pregnant lady! Jeff is planning to decorate the yard (which I think hes doing as I type) so I'll post a picture or two later. Hopefully, we'll have a lot of trick or treaters this year, since it is on a Friday. Bailey has already tried on his Pumpkin costume and it fits better this year than last year. Hes plumped up some!
